Samantha Togni shares 'Trust Issues' Released February 8th, 2019
Samantha Togni, an internationally-renowned DJ and producer, has played headline sets in super-clubs from Tokyo to Milan and built an impressive expansive portfolio as a producer. Now she returns with her latest, the inspirational club orientated EP Trust Issues, a series of bass driven songs that fuse Electronica, Techno and Bass.
The last few years in particular have seen the rising star land coveted support slots for the likes of Miss Kittin, Magda, Camelphat, Clean Bandit, as well as an appearance in HUNTAR and Gucci Mane’s Pony video, directed by renowned fashion photographer Haris Nukem. She has also played for brands like Nike, Dr. Martens, MAC, Rockstar North and more.
Togni’s 2016 single Queen Nemesis, a frantic, up-tempo track featuring rapid-fire raps from London MC Janset, quickly racked up support from Adidas Originals, who playlisted the song in its stores, as well as press outlets including Dazed Korea, RedBull and Wonderland, who described Togni as “the DJ to watch.”
Togni is also a core member of INFERNO, a London-based club collective renowned for fusing
Club culture, performance art and techno. This unconventional approach to nightlife and identity has bled into its various inimitable events, which have attracted press coverage from the likes of Dazed and i-D. Their aesthetic is equally influential, landing them a campaign with renowned Japanese clothing company ZOZO.
Speaking on the motivation behind Trust Issues, Samantha Togni explains:
“My new EP Trust Issues is a series of songs that celebrate rebirth and the evolution of the self into a stronger and better version of itself. It's a gloomy and dark road towards the light at the end of my tunnel.”
